Carved into the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, Casa Angelina – located in the quiet town of Praiano, Italy – will relaunch for the season, from April through October.

Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Casa Angelina overlooks the Tyrrhenian sea and embodies luxury in a relaxing and laid-back environment. The hotel’s minimalist inspiration elegantly frames the natural surroundings of the Amalfi Coast with its floor-to-ceiling windows and stark white walls – which amplify the beauty of the sea and the dramatic cliffs along the coast.

The hotel’s location in the quaint fishing town of Praiano – just around the bend from the bustling town of Positano – is an authentic and relaxing retreat with secluded beaches, separated from the more well-known destinations of the Amalfi Coast. Casa Angelina guests have direct access to La Gavitella Beach via the hotel’s elevator and an additional 200 steps. From the hotel’s dedicated portion of La Gavitella Beach – the only beach along the Amalfi Coast kissed by the sun until sunset – guests can embark for private boat tours to the Isle of Capri.

Each of the 39 rooms at Casa Angelina boasts a view of the Mediterranean Sea and features a white-on-white color scheme, custom ceramic tiles, chic furnishings designed exclusively for the hotel by architect Marco De Luca and made by local artisans in Sorrento, as well as Bang & Olufsen electronics and a choice of toiletries by L’Occitane or Jo Malone upon check-in. The minibar is stocked with Italian delicacies and includes an extensive drinks selection, as well as a courtesy iPad device for guests to use during their stays. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to/from Positano throughout the day at scheduled times until late at night (only 8 km away, about 10 minutes drive)

Guests looking for even more of an escape can book stays at the Eaudesea Experience Rooms, located directly below the hotel via a towering glass elevator and an additional 200 steps. Formerly fisherman’s cottages and built into the cliff’s base, these fully-renovated suites seamlessly blend Casa Angelina’s signature style with a natural rock wall that creates a rustic and natural feel. The suites include 24-hour butler service and easy access to La Gavitella beach.

While rest and relaxation during a visit to the Amalfi Coast are recommended, the hotel staff is equipped to arrange various activities for guests including a hike along the nearby Il Sentiero degli Dei (‘Walk of the Gods’) to Positano, or the rental of vintage luxury cars for cruising the winding roads of the Amalfi Coast. Guests can also charter the hotel’s private boat for excursions to Capri, the Blue Grotto and coastal caves. The hotel’s private boat seats up to ten passengers and includes two full cabins, complete with a bedroom and bathroom.

Dining at Casa Angelina is a gastronomic affair that highlights the local flavors of the Amalfi Coast. From Vincenzo Vanacore’s Un Piano nel Cielo (‘a floor in the sky’) rooftop restaurant, guests can indulge in local flavors with views of neighboring Positano and the sea. The hotel’s A Historic Taste of Amalfi menu offers guests and locals the opportunity to experience authentic Amalfi dishes that are rare to find, even on the Amalfi Coast, enriched with the traditional perfumes and flavors found along the coast. Casa Angelina’s Limoncello Mojito made exclusively in-house with fresh lemon juice and Amalfi’s own Limoncello liqueur is also a staple at the hotel. Often the highlight for guests is Casa Angelina’s breakfast offering, served on the sunny terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast features freshly baked pastries, seasonal fresh fruits, a selection of salmon, freshly cut cured meats, pasta salads as well as hot dishes cooked-to-order.

Our pursue of perfection with unparalleled attention to details take Casa Angelina experience above and beyond our guests’ expectations. The unique location and the special atmosphere make of Casa Angelina an ideal venue for romance and special occasions.
